Currently, Nutriswiss, a company which specializes in the production of edible oils and fats, is modernising its entire control technology setup with Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7 and PCS7 Batch. Through a unified architecture, the firm will be able to work even more efficiently and flexibly in the future.

The core requirements of flexibility and transparency can be met reliably with the tank farm manager. The new tank farm control now includes 22 tanks, with planned expansion to around 120 tanks.

Deleproject AG and especially Tobias Bächtold are delighted that they have been able to make a success of this project for Nutriswiss.

After 13 years in service, Windows XP has served its time as an operating system and Microsoft has discontinued support of this product as of 8 April 2014. This means that Microsoft will no loger develop and distribute new security updates for the operating system. Particularly for automation systems which are built into cross-divisional network architectures, open vulnerabilities can lead to problems for system availability and data security.
