Aebi Terratrac TT281

The Aebi vehicle manufacturer from Burgdorf has launched a new generation of its Terratrac product line. Efficient, economical, more comfortable – the best workplace in its class is what the new TT281 promises.

The control and display concept has also been redeveloped. Aebi has entrusted the team at Deleproject AG to assist with this challenging task. The project included the software concept, the implementation and development of the control system, as well as the visualisation. The programming was done with CoDeSys.

Interesting functionalities were developed for the Terratrac. Here are some examples:

  • Intelligent hydraulics with adjustable settings and controls
  • Steering with dynamic changeover between four-wheel drive, front, rear steering, and coordinate mode
  • Automatic air conditioning
  • Couplings for different functions
  • Freely assignable control lever, keyboard, and smart navigator
  • Operating statistics and area measurement
  • Storage configurations for multiple attachments
  • Many additional features

The visualisation extends far beyond displaying vehicle information. All functions can be controlled and settings can be changed and stored on the pushbutton. A completely new display concept has emerged with a special demand for clarity, simple operation, and a logical structure.

The project ran from August 2016 to April 2017. The new Swiss quality Terratrac was a success at trade fairs and resonated well with customers.

There in action for Deleproject were Adrian Kamer, Martin Steiner, and Adrian Trachsel.
