Customer Project in Iran 2012

In September 2012, I, Joachim Müller, had the task of making software modifications to an existing Nestlé plant in Iran. The adventure began long before the actual work with the organisation of a visa, which was not easy…

On September 5, we set off via Istanbul and Tehran to Qazvin, where the factory is located. Working with the predominantly local staff was extremely pleasant and at times like working with old friends. When else do you get home-made tea in the commando room during commissioning! The three weeks in Iran vanished in an instant, the system (an evaporator for baby milk powder production) led to safer processes and provided some unforgettable moments, even outside the factory. The two mountain trips to a ruined castle and a hike excursion gave just a hint of what this country has to offer! Adventures are guaranteed daily, for instance, when you sit in a car… Iranians’ driving culture is different to what I have experienced in Switzerland. You find your pulse is constantly beating faster and faster and your hands get cramped at times from gripping on the door handle!

A summary of my journey: rarely I have met so many warm people, defying the adversities of the system (economic sanctions against the government) to celebrate life as much as possible!

SINDEX 2012

From 4 to 6 September, we were exhibitors at the first SINDEX technology fair in Bern. The joint appearance of swissSolutionMarket.net offered us a great platform, to which we could welcome many customers.

Of course we also had the opportunity to exchange ideas with suppliers and competitors. We were certainly particularly excited all the new contacts made, which will help us look forward to a promising future.

Feedback from visitors and exhibitors was very positive, so we are already looking forward to the second edition of SINDEX in autumn 2014.
